Default Low temp engine on highway

Hi, My Rs V9 1991 is running quite cold when on the highway and I am wondering if it is normal...

I drove about 150 miles of Highway a couple of days ago and temp was just a little over 100 (then needle in the dashboard for the coolant temp was just above the min temps). Outside temps was about 15C (60F)

When doing city driving, temps looks normal (needle is in the middle)

Should I worried?

best to put a scan tool on it and view the data from the engine coolant temp sensor. Then you will know actual numbers. the car should run between 80 and 100*C.

I just check it with my Tech1 scan tool (furst tim I use it, didi manage to figure out how) and temps is around 85c so it's probably just the dashboard indicator who,s not working properly... could append after 26 years

Thanks!
