Parts
Biggest bang for you buck is an intake. I first bought a K&N, but it turns out autozone ordered me the wrong part, so instead I ordered from http://speedyperformanceparts.com paid $88 and it looks and sounds great, and recieved it in about 3 days. as far as exhaust goes your looking at a few hundred atleast, unless you just replace the muffler itself, in which case you wont have the full performance gain of replacing the whole exhaust. I have a 2001 2.2 and i think next step for me is intake manifold.
I have a 2.2 Cavalier with full stainless steelobx exhaust system, headers to muffler. I also have a a.e.m cold air intake that wraps around the engine right to the wheel well to get the coldest air. Then the last thing is a performance chip built into my air intake wires. For all this I payed about$350.
