This morning when I got in the car a yellow light came on that said service with a picture of a wrench under it. Can anyone help me.

 

Try mechanic.
Or, you can buy an OBD-II interface and check what's wrong by yourself. Often it is just the fuel tank cap.

 

The wrench is the oil change reminder light. It must be reset at every oil change even if the light is not on yet.

 

I have two Cavaliers, I've never seen coming that light on because it's not reset. I do all service myself, my cars have not been in any shop.

 

i had the same issue on my 03 cav. i tried throwing parts at it. started with a wheel speed sensor for the abs. turns out it was the wire harness that connects to the sensor. turns out chevy was putting bad harnesses on these cars. hopefully this helps.
