I'll do that, and have the pictures posted tomorrow. The latch pictures you showed me resemble my latch exactly. I'll still take pics though so you can see my issue though.

oh no prob.. does either pic look like your issue

 

pop open the trunk, loosen up these two bolts, and slide the latch assembly down.
once you have it bottomed out, tighten them back up.



close the trunk, hop inside and loosen the bolts up while the lid is latched. have someone gently push down on the trunklid and then tighten the bolts again.. this will give you proper alignment of the latch. It should open and close freely now.
