2000 chevy cavilier. Working on this car for a lady at my church. Replaced head gasket and put it all back together and it won't start. I have not checked spark and fuel but two questions. Could I have put it out of time seeing as I never messed with the timing and if so has anyone ever worked on ghe timing with these cars without pulling the engine.

 

In order to replace the timing chain remove the passage side tire and pull the strut to the side then remove the inner finder then the serpentine belt, harmonic balancer,and ac compressor. Then take the oil pan off then u should be able to get the timing chain cover off .
