Wipers Travel onto A-Pillar
My son recently purchased a 96 LS 4-door and the Wipers travel onto the A-Pillar at the top postion, when shutting them off they cycle to a rest postion but they don't rest in the wiper arm seat/clip.
Is there any way to adjust the arms to rest in the proper position so that they don't travel so far?
Do we have a bad motor? (Is the motor located under the cowling?)
Thanks,
Larry

RE: Wipers Travel onto A-Pillar
i would say someone has had them off and put them in the wrong spot try turning off the wipers then take off the arms and put them on where they belong in the rest spot.

RE: Wipers Travel onto A-Pillar
That was my first thought but after getting one arm off we learned that the arm is keyed to a tab on the post.
We hope to look deeper this weekend into the motor assembly.

these cars have a wiper park arm which is attatched to the wiper motor, gm has had a few problems with these, but you have to look under the cowlingto find it
