Default Making me dumb founded

I have a 2001 S10 extended cab 4x4. I recently started having problems getting my pickup started. I put in a new battery, and starter but still having the problem.

Ok...when I turn on the key trying to start the pick up it just make a clicking (this happened the first time) sound. That's why I put in a new battery. Troubleshooted more and decided I need a new starter as I was thing that the solenoid was the problem. That was the reason for putting a new starter in it. I decided to charge the battery.

All right. After all of the above I go to start it and I get on clicking sound and I loose all power. I could really use some help.

Dale

Check your connections, especially battery. Have you tried jumping the starter solenoid?

Check your battery cables at both ends as well as the connections. Also check the ground strap to the engine block.

I would suggest you look at this license plate lookup, via VinPit here. I have many experiences in purchasing and selling used cars. This tool helps a lot for me to look at the history of an old car that is beneficial for purchasing.
