I purchased a 1968 396 short block 325 horse casting number 3916323 with a 2 bolt main and cast crank. Last 6 digits of the VIN begin with a 1.. chevelle,impala caprice.
It’s bored .030 Over and they stuffed in 375 horse pistons 3969974 from a 402.
With this short block work with a pair of oval port closed chamber 1969 3931063 heads?

 

They should work fine on your short block. They came from the factory on 69 and 70 396 and 427
