i currently have a completely stock 1980 el camino and im looking to up the mpg and performance the is the 267 v8 2brr carb. im going to buy new headers and put dual exhaust on it i know that much will help a bit. i would appreciate some help

 

use a mild rv cam, a 500 cfm edelbrock 4 barrel ( a 4 barrel will be more efficient if driven nicely) along with a torquer intake
i had a malibu with 2.30:1 gears and i got over 20 mpg with a 350 and this setup and a 600 cfm carb, so the smaller motor if u have the same gears should get better
