Made the trade and found out the durn thing leaks like a sieve from the transmission

Got the transmission rebuilt and sent it off to a body shop for minor body repair and paint job ... been gone 2 weeks so far!

the photo's are the Corvette and the El Camino ...

Yeah - I know! Not the best trade in some peoples eyes ... but I am fine with it!
That's all that matters to me!

 

Hey, as long as you're happy. I hope you at least walked away with a good amount of cash too from the trade.

 

No cash ... just no need to replace the front clip (over $1500.oo for a basic clip) which had a LOT of stress cracks. Body also had some cracks and the cage was in less the okay condition.

I figured that a car with that many stress crack problems was going to have some in the fiberglass floor too. Besides other cosmetic problems like interior door panels.
