Default 02 Tahoe Dead Battery once every few months

I have a 2002 Chev Tahoe, that only in the last couple of years or so I will come to start it and the battery will be completely dead from one day to the next. What is even more strange is that it will only do this once every few months. It just did it to me yesterday after about8-9 months. It has a brand new Sears Die Hard battery. Has anybody ever had this problem, or could possibly tell me what it can be. The dealership says it can be any number of sensors that are not going to sleep after the truck shuts off, but they can't do anything unless I bring the truck in. If I knew when it was going to do it I would take it in, right? Once I jump start it, it is fine. Anybody got any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

i dont own a taho but it sounds like it could be an altonater (sorry for the misspelling).. my car did that and i would have to jump start it... i would suggest taking it to an advance auto parts or a parts store near you and see if they can test it and then go from there
