Exclamation 1980 Malibu engine swap

I have a 1980 malibu coupe. It has the 3.8 V6 and i have a 305 and i was wondering if the 305 would fit in no problem since the car came with the 305's.

Default Swap or swamped.

If you look under the hood and see that beast 3.8 liter youll notice there is alot of room from the radiator and the belt drive. this is because Chevrolet shortened their engines but no the car. Now if you put a clutch fan on it already that does take up some room and u get another 25 HP or so they say. I have a 1980 Malibu 4 door with a V6 229 a hopping 110 Hp...for now. But with such high gas prices chevy tried to make things easier on the customer at the pump by just cutting off two cylinders....literatlly, they cut off two cylinders right off the molding they used. A V8 is supposed to be your car. So hell yeah itll fit
