Default How to confirm Chevelle SS 396/350 hp

Going to look at a 70 Chevelle this week. Seller only has an original bill of sale which I requested a copy before I take the ride to see it. Any help on telltale signs would be appreciated.
thanks

Click above on Tools you will find vin decoder - let us know what it tells you
OOPS - looks like that one won't work for your year. Do a google search for vin decoders,I found a few that should do the job

When looking at a 1970 Chevelle, here are some things to keep in mind. Check for signs of rust, especially in the undercarriage, wheel wells, and around the fenders. Inspect the body panels for any signs of dents, dings, or uneven gaps between panels. Look at the interior for wear and tear. Check the seats, dashboard, and carpets for signs of damage or excessive fading. Make sure all the gauges and switches work properly. Examine the engine compartment for signs of leaks or excessive wear. Check the condition of the belts, hoses, and wires. Also, if possible, take the car for a test drive to listen for any unusual noises or vibrations. Good luck with your inspection!
