Default Ignition issues
on my 71 Chevelle when I turn the key it does not pull the rod that is connected to the ignition switch. I can start my car by pulling on the rod myself I can also turn the car off with the key. I have already changed the key cylinder. Anyone else have this problem ?

the rod is either disconnected from the key switch, or is just worn out. Either way it is the same. Resto parts can sell you what you need.
