New Member, My engine code make no sense, HELP!
Just bought a 65 El Camino. The engine in not original. The casting number is 14016379, so I've got a 350 from 77-79. Here's the part that has me stumped. The Engine code, stamped on the passenger side is V0709800, so I've got an engine built in Flint on July 9th but the 800 makes no sense. Yes, I have checked it and rechecked it. It is 800. The only code suffixes I can find that start with a number start with a 3. Can anyone help me? (There is no partial VIN.)
