Default 1959 Chevy Apache

Hey Ya'll
I'm new! Was into restoring tractors but moved over to trucks now. More expensive for sure but we only once. My question is what newer front suspension would fit under my Apache? Thinking I could hit a Pick and Pull and grab a newer one.

Thanks
Matt

Unlikely Matt. That pickup is almost as old as I am. I would suggest using eBay.

Matt there are many options out there for what you want to do but all require welding. im working on my 59 , 3100 right now and have the same dilemma

Yes i have seen those. I've been told by old timers that it was a good bolt/weld in option years ago, but they tell me there are better performing options out there now. im guessing if you weld in a front from a Camaro or another truck you will have more aftermarket options. I still need to do some research, what have you decided to go with?

Default 1959 Apache 3600 brake upgrade?

Nice to see some other 3600 owners! I'm upgrading the brakes but cant seem to find any front disk kits for a 3/4 ton 8 lug. Does anyone know what size rotors I need. The external diameter of the drums I'm replacing is 13". Or point me towards a kit?
Also... it's a manual transmission but looks like a brake booster would still fit underneath. Everyone advises against this. There's 9" between the tranny and the frame rail. Any experience with this? Thanks!!
