1978 straight 6 3 on the tree does not idle
I have a 1978 Chevy C10. It has a straight 6 motor and it is a manual transmission 3 on the tree. I purchased a brand new carburetor. However the truck revs really high when I start it. And will not idle it dies. If my foot's not on the clutch and giving it gas it dies. I'm thinking it might be a vacuum hose problem but I'm having trouble finding a schematic. I'm not sure if my truck has an oxygen sensor. The carburator has been adjusted multiple times. It runs really rich when it is running. Please help! I'm on foot until I can get my truck fixed

First I posted as this being a 2 bl carb, is it a single? You can sray WD-40 with it running around the base of the carb, if you have a vacuum leak in that area, the rpm's will increase.
