Default 1984 Silverado

Struggling with idle speed on my 84. Truck will crank fine and idle normally for a period of time, then the idle drops to a sputter and eventually goes dead. Carb has been re-built on two occasions with no improvement. Any ideas?

I honestly am not sure. What is the best way to check the choke?

take the air breather off the carb. when the engine is "cold" like from not running all day the choke should be closed. withing 5 or so minutes of normal operation the choke should close.
