So we got it running. Evidently when you install the new timing chain gears and line the dots up at 6 and 12 o'clock you have to turn the engine one revolution then install the distributor at TDC #1. Did this and truck runs great. Carburetor needs a little adjusting but it's running and I don't have to rebuild for now. Thanks everyone for your help.
