Question 1985 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe 20 3/4 ton pickup has 16.5 rims and tires .

My truck has 16.5 Chrome plated steel rims and tires. Since they no longer make this size tire , I need to replace the rims and tires. Having difficulty finding steel rims with chrome finish. Should I go with 16 or 17 inch inch rims and tires.
Can't seem to find decent used steel and chrome plated rims. The truck has nice front and rear chrome bumpers. Would you go with alloy wheels?

The newer aluminum 2500 rims look decent on them.

Nothing wrong with alloy wheels. I like the alloy's on my K-1500. Factory stock too. Someone else once thought they liked them too, so I have the best lug-nut locks on the market on them: McGard's.

Get 16s. They will allow you a higher tire profile, and a smoother ride.
