76 K10 400 New Garage Build
Picked up a short bed K10 400. Pretty messy. I'm looking to start with the top end and work my way around. Working on it in my garage/driveway. Tools aren't a problem but I'm trying to do as much as I can without pulling the engine (I have a hoist I'm just not wanting to go that route yet). Currently, have it stripped down to the valve springs and will pull it down to the intake manifold this weekend. I'm hoping to have some fun with this and not looking for anything extreme. It will be purely for street cruising, LIGHT offroad, and just showing off in general
Any suggestions on a direction? I know the 400 is basically built for pulling a sled up a wall and not much else but I'd like to wake it up a bit, make it sound nice, and get some grins from the wife. I know there are a ton of options for top-end and cams and things... Almost everything I find is like, how to build it into a race truck or how to build it into a monster truck... I'm just looking for some simple suggestions for a street build. (pics, etc. shortly)
