Hello, today I picked up a 1979 Silverado with a 350 V8 engine. The transmission won't go past 1st but the engine sounds great. It's pretty ugly but it was only $400 and so I said why not, my son and I can have some fun with it and learn some things.
Last year we had an old diesel Mercedes as our project, and the MB forum was a big help, so I hope to find a lot of help here too.
I tried driving the Silverado around but it quickly began to overheat. The orange coolant was running everywhere, so I know what the first thing will be when I have time and daylight to see.
Anyway I'm looking forward to learning more from this forum.
