Fuel Pressure Test - 1980 K10
I need to run a fuel pressure test, and I am trying to find the optimal place to tie in my pressure gauge. I know a lot of Chevys have a removable cap just for that purpose, and I am able to find information for the location of those caps on later models, but I can't find anything for a 1980 K10 5.7L 8 Cylinder 350 engine. I could always tap into the line before the fuel filter, but if there is a designated location for the gauge to connect, I would rather use that and do it right. If anyone could tell me the location of the tie in point, or other ways of testing the pressure on that model, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks!

What carburetor are you running?

You will need to check your fuel pressure at the carb inlet with a double hosed fuel pressure gauge. You run one hose to the carb and the other to the fuel hose from the fuel pump.
