help in identifying the VIN number
Hello everyone.. I am a first time poster.. I have a 1951 Chevy 6400 with a grain dump body on it.. The truck is all original and everything works cept for the heater motor.. It runs and drives great.. I have not registered it yet but have applied for a title in my name.. I intend to register a 1951 plate I have for the truck..
The reason for my post is I am asking for help in identifying the VIN number.. I will leave out the actual numbers, but the first is 1UWH.. 1 is Flint Michigan where is was built.. W is for the series of 6400.. I have not been able to determine what the U and the H are for.. I would enjoy any input.. Thank you in advance..

Welcome to the forum.
FYI, please don't piggy-back off other people's questions. You need to use the "New Thread" button and post your own.
I've moved your question to the pickup section for you this time.
Thanks.

Welcome from Florida. The U is for the year which is 1951. The H is for the month which is August.

I know this says for a 1951 but if anyone is needing one for a 81-87 chevy truck, I just saw this one the other day. Attached the link below.
