Default Needing help

Hello, first ill start by saying I'm new to all the forums and only tinker around on my spare time with trucks. That all being said I just bought a 1969 c20 to start building for my son. I really want to convert to a 4x4 but after watching a friend do a full conversion and the trouble he had I was wondering if a frame swap would be easier? And it thats the route to go then what year frames would work? Thank you in advance for any help.

Welcome from Florida. It would be easier to buy a truck that already is a 4X4.

Oldchevy I agree and I've looked for sometime unfortunately where I live the that body style of k20 is like finding gold anymore or your paying outrageous price. I've even looked for a wrecked one to swap cabs to and those are gone.
