I have a 2007 cobalt, my engine light came on and the readout says that it is my camshaft sensor. From browsing on line I see that others have had this problem. My check engine light comes on for a day or so at a time and then goes off.

I have taken it to two mechanics who both seem to disagree as to where the sensor is located. Can someone please let me know?

They also disagree as to how difficult it is to replace and how long it will take. One person says it will take a half a day's labor and be pricey; the other says it will be fixed in about an hour. Please assist if you can.
