i got a 2006 colorado with the 3.5 vortec. its a Z71 4x4. i got 31 inch BFG MT KM2's on it. do a little bit of offroading. recently i have noticed a loud thumping sound coming from the rear of the truck somewhere under the bed. also theres a ticking sound coming from the rear passenger seat area. and ALSO whenever i take a corner a little rough theres a loud knocking sounds sorta like. any help would be great. PLEASE!

 

Check U-joints. Make sure everything back there is tight, spare tire and all. Can you feel the thumping?

 

yeah i initially thought it was the spare tire. so i removed it and placed it in the bed. everything is tight. tight as it can be while the truck is on the ground. drive shaft doesnt move up and down, exhaust mounts are not broken. i can't feel the thumping but i can hear it. and it doesnt make the sound under acceleration load.
