2009 Colorado Just Clicking
2009 Chevy Colorado 2WD 4CYL
Battery, Starter, Alternator, Relays are all good.
Hi, I own a mechanic shop and this vehicle came to my shop. The original problem was the car sometimes turning on and sometimes not. If it turned on, it stayed on. We decided to change the ignition housing first since all battery, starter, etc. were fine. After doing that the vehicle just stopped turning on altogether.
It just clicks. The security light is not flashing, just turns on and turns off like the other lights when the car is Key On Ignition Off. Strangely, the Check Engine light does not turn on at all like the other lights do.
We changed the ignition housing again just in case the part was bad and same thing happened. We put the original on and same thing happened, just doesn't start anymore. Only click.

Hello
"Only click"
this means that the starter is not operated? it is not cranking?
the fault occurs when the electrical power required becomes larger.
Your description reminds me of a power failure the PCM.
I had bad contacts in connectors on a Venture, and then the defects become very difficult to analyze. randomly not start, then OK, then stop the engine while driving, then OK ....
I would start by validating the supply (positive and negative) to the input of PCM permanently with a lamp diode simply visible while driving.
easy to achieve, but your default may be different.
Friendly.
