2012 colorado

new clutch installed--12k miles later it slips-could it be something other than the plates ?--thank you

Make sure the clutch is being fully released. If the slave cylinder is not fully releasing it would cause it to slip. May also be that the clutch was not adjusted correctly when installed and wore out the disc.
