2015 Colorado Advice
I just test drove a 2015 Colorado and think it is pretty much the perfect vehicle for me. But I've never owned a Chevy before and really know very little about what to expect in terms of their service, reliability, long term ownership and all. Ideally I could get exceeding 10 years of use out of this truck and barring a catastrophe or accident the upkeep would be fairly predictable and routine.
One little quirk appeared while I was test driving that is by no means a deal breaker on its own but it did make me a little concerned about the overall assembly and quality which is that the indicator blinker started acting very erratically and then stopped responding entirely, several service lights popped up too and various displays seemed to be spazzing out as I put the car into park. The truck drove great and I liked just about everything about it(I really did, I'm basically 100% sold on it for that alone), but you see something like that and it makes you think twice about what you might be getting into long term. Little issues aren't deal breakers on their own of course but if they stack up or are persistent it does lower my confidence that this is worth it.
I know it's a new enough vehicle that there might not be many active users here driving them yet, but if anyone does have some insight it'd be very appreciated. I really liked the truck all around, it fits my needs and lifestyle perfectly, just need a boost of confidence that Chevy and in particular this new, perhaps un-vetted redesign won't be a trouble to live with in terms of random little BS things like the indicator not working properly. (stuff that in and of itself isn't a deal breaker so much but if little things like that stack up it starts to be one)
Thanks
