Angry AC OFF Message

Getting an "AC OFF" message displayed above my odometer. When this is displayed, my temperature gauge is pegged at cold. No temp. And it is also not blowing cold air. This has come on multiple times, and it seems that it is when it is cold out? Ideas?

CtotheK,

This message displays when the engine coolant temperature is too high and the air conditioning in your vehicle needs to be turned off. This message displays along with the ENG HOT message.

The air conditioning might stop working if the engine is too hot. This is normal and helps cool the engine.

If this issue persists, I recommend having the vehicle inspected by a certified technician. They should be able to assist you further.

If you need assistance locating a technician near you, please PM me your zip code.
