Extreme Heat coming from up under the Passenger Side floor board
I own a 2005 Colorado LE w/Crew Cab, currently at 55,000 miles
Bought this truck new and have no complaints ....
Lately, been traveling in it a lot lately and have noticed the passenger-side floor board gets extremely hot. When getting under that side of the truck to take a peek, I noticed a square mental box- this appears to be some type of junction box, "I think" lol.
Going back and reviewing the owners manual for the Colorado, I can find nothing indicating what this might be within this area of the passenger side floor board.
Has anyone here experienced this before and/or have any insight to what the heck might be causing this extreme heat ?
Thanks in Advance for any feedback ...

tbohling,
I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. I am not quite sure where the heat could be coming from. Have you consulted with your local dealership about this issue to see if they have any idea what could be causing this heat?
Thank you

Is your catalytic converter on that side of the truck? If so, it could be faulty and if they get clogged, they'll emit a lot of heat. I'd recommend getting it checked asap. You don't want it to get too hot and park in the grass because they can start fires.
