Key Stuck in ignition
Go to park the truck, short trip or long drive, and once is a while the ley won't turn off all the way, and I can't get it out of the ignition. Have gotten stuck a couple of times with this. Anyone know the GM fix for this? I have found that there's a GM service bullitin about this, having to do with the shifter. My baby is an 18 with 23K on the dial. Help???!!!

Perhaps a shot of silicone spray might help. Not sure, but it won't make a mess like WD-40 probably would.

Use a key extraction tool to remove the broken key. This is often something a professional locksmith would use and usually much cheaper than calling one. There are a few different types but
does the best job of removing a key that’s broken off in a lock (any type of lock.

on my 05 express 3500 i started having trouble getting key out then one day i could'nt get the key out of the ignition at all. my chevy dealer told me the pound of gewgaws and gadgets the spouse had loaded up on the keyring with the ignition key had messed up the innards of the start switch. there was apaprently a TSB about this heavy keyring damaging the ignition s witch on some gm s. they replaced my switch and i forbade the gewgaws from entering my van, ever more.
