schizo3,

Sorry, the 2012 Colorado 2LT does not have an auxiliary audio input jack. The CD/Aux button on the system is referring to CD or MP3/WMA Disc formats. The player is able to read and play a maximum of 253 folders, 50 playlists, 20 sessions and 949 files.

However, there is an accessory available for the iPod at: Accessories Details. Please contact your dealer for installation.

I hope this information was useful. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

Have a great day!

Louis

is there a way to make one or both of the 12v power outlets power down when the key is removed? I plugged my XM receiver into it & it stays on all the time, concerned it will drain the battery ?

There is a way, of course. It takes the installation of a relay in one of the auxiliary power circuits (I think there are two independent circuits on the Colorado) with the control side wired up to the retained accessory power circuit. With some planning, everything can be done at the fuse block, i.e., without cutting and splicing existing wiring. Check with a shop that installs automotive audio or alarm systems.

What color is the wire to the t/signal switch under the steering column. I want to tap into to change one off the power outlets so it shuts off with the switch. (2012 Colorado)

I'd rather you used an add-a-circuit to tap into the fuses downstream of the RAP relay, e.g., SWS, S/ROOF, PWR/WNDW, WPR, etc., in the fuse block for relay control. Splicing into the wiring like you intend to do will only get you grief in the long run. Also, the AUX FUSE PWR 1 fuse also powers the data link connector and thus it's best to leave alone the outlet powered by it. The AUX FUSE PWR 2 fuse and the outlet powered by it are safe to touch. Like I said, everything can be done at the fuse block without cutting and splicing existing wiring.

Please explain what you were going to do in detail with the "wire to the t/signal switch" before. I need to know your level of expertise so I don't shoot both our feet.
