Default Showing a brake fluid low message and brake light on..

For over the past few weeks I've been getting a "Low Brake Fluid" message and a "Red Brake Light". It would go off after a few days then a few days later come back on, now it's on all the time and won't go off. Brought the truck to my mechanic to have it checked, brake fluid full, no leaks anywhere, no air in the brake lines, check the brake fluid sensor, even jumped the brake fluid sensor connector which should have turned the warning lights off but they're still on. Any ideas what to check next?

if jumping the wiring connector didn't change it. either the wiring is open or the module is bad. I would unplug the wiring connectors at the master cylinder and the module it goes to. ohm the wires. if the wires are good...you need a module.
when this warning comes on...it will set a code. the code has a diagnostic procedure. withthe code i could look it up/.

My mechanic did mention something about the wire harness, I just stopped by quick and he was busy that day and didn't have a chance to check everything, I'll have to make an appointment to have him put a scanner on it and check the wiring. You mentioned a module, would this be the ABS brake control module? I did just read that there was a ground wire coming off this module to a little black box somewhere next to the master cylinder that may have corrosion on it, would that be something I could check myself?

The first thing is that as your brake pads wear out, the caliper piston will be gradually pushed out of its housing. This keeps it right next to the brake pads so the pads will contact the brake rotor very quickly when the pedal is pushed. The result of this is that the fluid level will go down slightly over time (it is being used to fill the braking system).
