2016 Colorado Diesel. 17" wheels. Came with a crappy 16 inch wheel for a spare. I need a full size wheel that I can actually use the 4 wheel drive if I have a flat and need to put the spare on. I just want a basic steel wheel for the spare. Can't seem to find one specifically for the Colorado. What other trucks use the same wheel that I can use to try to buy a full size spare? Any other suggestions on how to get one?

 

as along as the rolling circumference is the same...it will not damage anything. i have a 17 inch temporary spare for my truck that runs 20's...just have a larger aspect ratio on the spare so they match up. I consider this a temporary spare so i fix it asap.

I do like the idea of running a 5 tire rotation so if one tire is damaged...you don't have to discard all of them cause they are mismatched.

 

Did you try your local junk yards?

 

That answer works. I'll get a good tire that works out to the same height as the tires on the 17" rims. Thanks for the suggestion!

 

they are doing this on some factory donuts...all that matter is the rolling circumference.
