Default Stupid Tranny / Rear End Question

The dealer wanted me to do a throttle body cleaning, fuel injector cleaning, and replace the fluid in the tranny/rear end/radiator.

I was just poking my head under my truck (2004 colorado 4-cyl RWD 39K miles), and can't find any plugs in the tranny or rear end.

Umm... where are they? No plugs would make it hard to change fluids.

King,

Does the differential cover have bolts that hold it on? If so, you'll need to take off the whole cover to change the fluids.

Ditto with the tranny pan. A real mess however, while you have it off you can install a drain plug kit on the pan yourself for less than $10 bucks. Get one at almost and auto parts store or Auto on-line place. The plug kit sire does make things MUCH easier the next time you do a change.

Good luck.
