Question trailer brake wiring

i just drove an hour north of sf to buy a dump trailer for my '12 colorado 5.3l
4x4.

the guys looked on the shelves for a (typical) easy-connect harness from a plug under the dash to the electric brake controller they were going to mount.
no such luck, there is no plug-in on this truck, and they were stumped as to how to hard-wire the 4 wires running to the brake controller to the right wires under the dash (if the wires are even there).
the truck has the trailer towing pkg and the 7-pin socket by the hitch.
any suggestions or wiring diagrams ?

thanks...

if it has the 7pin plug; all the wiring is there. under the dash/driver knee bolster will be blunt cut wiring harness. it will be wrapped up with tape that is labelled describing what each wire is for.

take it to a professional install shop or dealer.

buy a brake controller that has a clip mount; unless you like drilling holes in the knee bolster.

thanks very much-
i found the 4 wires looped back on themselves with a piece of clear tape holding them together, and black tape on the ends...
no markings as to what goes where, but can the trailers usa guys figure that out? or is there some possibility of damaging something?
chevy will want the truck for a whole day, and i have way too much work this week to let that happen.
regardless, thanks again- much appreciated
