Would you recommend the Colorado?
Hello all. Recently, I've been doing a lot of research and I think I would really like to possibly lease a Colorado in the LT trim level. Based on your experience, would you recommend the Colorado, especially as a first truck? Also, what options would you consider a must have?

Hey Blackbird,
I've had my '17 LT crew cab for just under two years. I'm really pretty happy with her. I looked hard at the Ridgeline, but man...I really like the pull I get when I step on that V6 they pulled out of the Camaro. (That was a change in '17. I'd stay away from the '16 V6s). It's a nice balance of fuel economy (my average over the life of the vehicle is 20.4 mpg, though I've had a few tanks hit in the upper 20's on long highway trips) and power.
The only one alternative I might look closer at now is the Ranger...just because it wasn't on the market yet when I bought. But the lease deals right now are hot. I don't think you'll regret it.

Thanks for the reply! I didn't know that they pulled the Camaro's V6 for this truck, which is pretty awesome... I've heard the fuel economy is pretty decent for a truck as well, which is an appealing factor. I'd probably never own a Ford though... A co-worker of mine of mine once told me an acronym for Ford... Found-On-Road-Deserted... Anyway, you've certainly helped in my decision making process!
Yeah. The '17 and later Camaro 6 has a lot of punch, while being about as efficient as any truck on the market. The Ridgeline gets a hair better, but isn't nearly as fun to stomp on the pedal. You could look at the I4 diesel Colorado, too. I'm not sure if there's a big financial benefit to it, but it does get into the 30's MPG on the Highway and has a range of somewhere near 600 miles. That last one will get you out of the Zombie apocalypse.
