1978 Corvette running lights
I recently bought a 1978 corvette and i cant get the running lights to work, the brake lights and the back up lights workbut its just the running lights that wont cut on. any ideas or help would be appreciated.
check fuses first. If al are good, pull the switch out and see if you have 12v on a wire when the switch is in the parking light position. Make sure the voltage doesn't vary when using the dimmer switch. that wire will be for the interior lights. The one that stays constant when the switch is on no matter what the position of the dimmer should be your parking light wire. If you can't find a wire, then most likely the switch is bad.
Sorry I can't be more specific but I have no wiring diagrams for this old of a vehicle

Welcome to the Chevrolet Forum. If you plan on doing a lot of your own maintenance, I strongly recommend that you get the Chevrolet Shop Manual for your year Corvette and also get an Assembly Instruction Manual which shows how the factory put them together. Helm has the shop manual and most of the Corvette aftermarket places have them both. Corvette America has the AIM on CD also.
