Default Advice sought on buying a C4

Hello everyone,

Well, I think the prices on late C4s have finally fallen to their lowest possible point. I think it's time to buy my first corvette!

So I wanted to ask all you gentlemen (and any knowledgeable ladies that may be out there) for some advice. I am trying to find a 92-96 6 speed, preferably a convertible (anyone know one for sale at a reasonable price?).

Question:

What are known issues that a person looking for such a corvette should look out for?

Any advice anyone can give would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Jay

You may want to check out corvetteforum.com, they have a large corvette community that may be able to offer more options for you. The Corvette Museum is interesting too, corvettemuseum.com.

I hope this information is helpful.

I just bought a 1990, prices are at a all time low <I THINK>. 10k should get you a real nice one. Prices are all over the place, however there seems to be pleanty for sale. Mine has is not a convertable but has a glass top, its in decient shape, had to buy a tranny so total invested 6500$, I think in a couple of years it will be worth a whole lot more.

In the event you find something you like I'd advise having it checked by a mechanic who knows C-4's.

Prices are all over the place.

As Chevy customer service suggested the corvrtteforum.com is a great source for info.
