Im pulling my damn hair out with this damn car. trying to start the car, doesnt matter if hot or cold, it cranks excessively. Sounds as if it attempts to fire then goes into a dead crank then again tries to fire again. will do this for several minutes before it actually starts. once its running, it drives great. no issues. I have done so many tests, replaced many parts (oe only of course) and even reprogrammed/updated every module on the vehicle... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I cant be the only one with this issue

 

Welcome from Florida. Sounds like it could be the check valve in the fuel pump assembly. It could tbe allowing the fuel to drain back into the tank when not running. You can try and spray some starter fluid or gas into the throttle body and see if starts right away.
