NAME & SHAME YOUR DEALER, No point in complaining on the Forum otherwise

I should fill you in on my "Cruze" experience.Bought car-charged $110 ac tax-didn't have ac.Told it had block heater-didn't. After 3 or 4 trips in about transmission they did software update-which had been put out months earlier-only after being called by GM rep in Oshawa.Told me that if I didn't like this car(knew I liked my old Cavalier which I'd bought from them)that I could buy an 09 or 10 Cobalt with around 20,000 km on it and I wouldn't have to pay much more...my car was 2 or 3 months old with 2000 km on it.Can't turn key if steering wheel in locked position-told to shoot some lube in it-found online about shaking wheel.Heater died at -16C-fixed by new good mechanic who left quickly.Had oil change-oil spilled down side of motor & exhaust-not cleaned up or even mentioned. 6 foot plumes of smoke coming out from under hood -EMT neighbour came running with fire extinguisher (was that spectacular) Car 8 months old, close to 7000 km on it.Now the oil spray issue-are you feeling my frustration yet??

Was the CRUZE bought as a brand new model ? If not as specified should have been immediately rejected. I do not know how Consumer Laws operate in the US. Seems your purchase is very convoluted, why on earth would you want or be offered a o9/010 Cobalt ?

Bought new. Didn't realize there wasn't a block heater for about 2 weeks-and tranny was so-so for about same.Lemon laws in Canada suck-not much help there.Paid cash-big boner-because it's basically "it's yours, live with it." Only GM dealer in city. Very frustrating-at this point I'm hoping it burns!( At 2 week point they refused to take it back.)

sounds like you have more complaints about the dealer than the car.

ecotec cavaliers had great service life but the ride, shift quality (std trans), fit and finish are way below that of the cruze and sonic.

Keep calling Chevrolet customer service 1-800 number. The more people that call and complain the better. More likely to get something done.

Not in Canada-the customer service rep thought the trade for a Cobalt sounded like a good idea!

Default 2012 chevy Cruze 1LT RS

I have 5500 miles on my car and yes I have had the weird shifting in the transmission this is a 6speed auto I'm used to the 4 speed auto and I'm not so sure its a issue other than a norm will keep in mind to watch this issue.
My main issue is 200 miles after a oil change my oil is black as **** Im thinking this is turbo related my next oil change im going to run Mobile 1 extended performance oil ( Dexos1 approved) and see what results i get will update If you know how a turbo operates you would understand why you need a HIGH END oil turbos get Very Very Hot and you oil goes through it and brakes down faster I have no idea why GM dose not Require a oil of this level

My other major concern Why would they put a S speed rated tire on this car that exceeds the speed of the tire I know im not going to be running this cruze 120 mph all the time but those who do like to see tops speeds they are going to blow tires this car needs a H speed rated tire and this would drive and handle a lot better these tires really suck to start with Firestone fr710 considering filing a complaint with Vehicle Owners | Safercar -- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on this GM wake up quit Cheeping out make quality not Lets make this vehicle to fall apart just as the warrentee expires

I can only repeat that my Daewoo built Cruze Diesel has the best autobox 6 speed I have experienced having owned 43 cars last 30 all autos. 18000 miles NO warranty claims (two recalls fixed during 2nd service.)unlike BMW, Volvo, Saab all troublesome.
