2014 Chevy Cruz. All of a sudden the USB port does not charge my phone. IT DID, then poof, it did not. I have had the car 4+ months. I am reading the posts here, that GM says it was not made for charging, but that does not explain why it did charge then all of sudden it does not. What is the issue? Why can't GM explain this properly.

 

yeah, they are for connecting, not charging;
it could be that the USB/your device only said it was charging, when it wasn't, just because it was using the port(s)
