Last week my 2014 Cruze LTZ fan keep running after the car has been cut off. I have read in this forum and others that this is an issue with the Cruze. Have there been a recall issued for this problem? My warranty have ended and I don't think it's fair for me to have to pay for something that apparently this type of car is known to have problems with. Plus my light have came on now.....this is my third Chevrolet and so far the best....but.. considering this issue... it's making me rethink.

 

I bought a 2014 chevy cruze last year and ever since I drove it off the dealership it’s been giving me the same trouble! I’ve changed everything mentioned! Literally took it in 5 times and nobody seem to fix the problem or know what’s wrong. I just paid it off this month (December 2022) but it’s been sitting in my parking spot for the last three months. I’m so frustrated and mad. I called chevy dealership they said there is no recall on the car! They’re such a scam and doesn’t care that people are literally spending thousands of dollars !

 

It is designed to run the electric fans for a certain amount of time after being turned off, hot, How long does it keep running the fans? If you can do it, and you are not on warranty you could install a timer in the car cheap so that the fans run when you enter the car. Cut the ground off. not the hot-wire.

I had to install an ignition kill switch and battery kill switch on my old Jeep CJ-5. as a car-thief could steal it easy with a slide hammer and a pair of needle-nosed pliers.The Jeep had a canvas top so no door locks to deal with. You CAN do it if you want.to.

 

At this time, there has not been a recall issued. However, there have been some updates made to the software in the vehicles to help address the issue. Many owners have reported that the updates have been successful in resolving the issue. If your vehicle is still having the issue, it is recommended that you take it to a Chevrolet dealership and have them check the software.

 

I have had nothing but problems. Replaced everything engine, turbo, both o2 sensors, radiator, fan, cooling system, And MORE. Same problem of overheating started back up 6 months and $6,000 in repairs later. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANY REPAIRS. No way there is not any recalls.
