A/c not working in 2011 Cruze
I tried filling my a/c line Freon in my 2011 Cruze LT for my air conditioning but it did not help my a/c I replaced a hose and housing unit connected to my radiator and that did not help also what is the probable cause of my a/c not working?
You need to put an A/C gauge on your Cruze and see what the pressures are. Most R-134A "refrigerant" vehicles operate at 30 to 35 PSI on the low-side, and 150-175 PSI on the high-side. I am assuming that you mean the top radiator hose to the thermostat housing, which would not affect your A/C system. You should consult a professional A/C technician as it's likely you have a serious issue, and adding R-134A will not address that at all, as you've seen. It's under high-pressure, so if you choose to try and fix it your self, you need hand and eye protection. Also: are the large and small A/C tubes hot or cold at all, with the A/C compressor engaged?
If your A/C tubes are both hot, then you have a very serious issue, Only one tube should be hot, the other cold, with the A/C on Cold. Air-conditioning runs on the evaporation of a liquid to a gas thus absorbing heat which is cooled back to a liquid by the condenser, in this case R-134A refrigerant.
It's the same way for your refrigerator, or HVAC systems, but they use electric motors to drive the compressor and different refrigerants, but the principal is still the same,
BTW, how do you know your A/C compressor is not faulty, as you indicated in your previous post? You really need a pro to figure out why your A/C system is not operational, IMO.
