Default Changed rear brake pads rebound piston back in can't now to get hand brake excessive

Hand brake won't adjust free play after fitting new rear brake pads have wound piston back in have i winded them back to much

not sure what you are trying to describe. did you step on the brake to move the piston out and then try the ebrake?

Excessive hand brake travel after changing rear brake pads winded the piston back into the caliper went to take the slack up by pumping the pedal but handbrake still has excessive travel seems as though they are not adjusting have i wound the piston back in to tight 2011 Chevrolet Cruze 1.6 eco

i could see that happening with a drum set up but not sure how it could happen with a rear disc system that uses the service brake pads as ebrake pads. the only adjustment for these systems is at the equallizer.
