hi, just woundering if anyone has had problems with the paint scratching eazy. have a 2001 black onyx cruze that has 2 scratches across the hood from some thin ice sliding off, when i made a turn it finally come off and left the marks, primer showing??? was tod by a body shop the paints thin and soft???

 

Welcome to the forum. The body shop guy talked too much. It's easy to say "thin and soft" but compared to what? What usually happens is that little "rocks" get trapped under the ice sheet. I don't know of any paint job that won't get scratched in those instances.

 

The paint on mine is peeling & chipping-odd places where nothing would hit.I've had mud flaps on since day one.Has more spots than my 12 year old Cavalier!
