I just completed replacing a CV axle on the driver side of my 2014 Cruze Diesel. In checking for what type of fluid to use in the transmission I found that GM recommends that AW-1 type automatic transmission fluid be used. In the process of replacing the CV Axle the transmission bled off about a quart of transmission fluid from where the CV axle is installed into the transmission. I would like to fill the transmission back up to it's normal operating level/range. The GM brand of fluid is quite expensive and cannot be found on store shelves or most of the auto parts stores that are close to my home. So, if anyone has done the job of replacing a CV axle for a Diesel powered Cruze, please let me know if or what other brand of Automatic transmission fluid can be used to refill the transmission of Aisin Warner type.
