Default Cruze overheating while in park with AC on.

The other day while sitting in my car with the AC on an alert came on and told me that my car was overheating (I wasn't paying attention to the temp gauge). I immediately turned my car off and checked under the hood. What I was checking for I'm not sure because I know nothing about cars but anyway. I let it cool down and then started it up again with the AC off. Drove it around and all the way home (40 min drive) and it was fine. Took it to the shop and they said that it is the cooling fan assembly and it would be $623 to fix. I guess my question is....

is a cooling fan assembly another name for the radiator fan assembly?

And my second question is.....

How difficult is it to change a radiator fan assembly?

Thanks!!!!
